Experience SRT During Broadcast India 2019 at Booth A-113 With Setron India in partnership with Cinegy
Cinegy develops software solutions for collaborative workflow encompassing IP, capture, editing and playout services tools, integrated into an active archive for full digital asset management. Either SaaS, virtualizable stacks, cloud or on-premises,
Cinegy is:
- COTS (Complete Off The Shelf) using standard IT hardware, and non-proprietary
storage technology
- Reliable, affordable, scalable, easily deployable and intuitive.
- Truly Software Defined Television.
Cinegy will demonstrate the multiple advantages of the inclusion of Secure Reliable
Transport (SRT) as well as the 8K capabilities of its entire product range at Broadcast India
2019.
Cinegy Head of Product Management Lewis Kirkaldie said, “SRT is an extra bit of magic that
breaks the restrictive chains of having to establish connectivity by plugging in a cable
somewhere. Through SRT, the ability to ensure a signal gets to and from where it needs to be
is now both feasible and widely available.
“What that means is that with SRT you can locate content, tools, and services wherever your
business needs them, be it in the cloud, on rented virtual machines, on-prem, or at remote
data centres.”
Cinegy’s view is that the maturity of SRT opens the door to a sizable range of new
applications while vastly simplifying existing ones.
“SRT is a massive liberator,” further explained Kirkaldie. “SRT makes system design so much
easier. You can design exactly what you want to deliver, with precisely the results you need,
irrespective of inputs, outputs, or location. There is no longer any reason to compromise your
business goals due to connectivity or bandwidth limitations.”
SRT is baked in to Cinegy software, including the license, which removes any concerns about
whether users have the legal right, proper subscription, or adequate bandwidth to deploy the
software.
In the case of 8K, Cinegy has optimised its entire product line to be 8K-ready and deployed in
the cloud. The new Cinegy Multiviewer, in addition to being 8K capable, has had its already
impressive GPU optimisation further improved. This makes the Multiviewer even more
powerful and flexible when paired with Cinegy Air PRO Playout and Cinegy Capture PRO
Ingest.
The twin benefits of increased scalability and efficiency in Cinegy Air PRO are equally
beneficial features for Cinegy Capture PRO. Using the same hardware, both systems are not
only capable of capturing 8K in 10-bit at up to 60, but also four channels of UHD/4K.
Cinegy products can process mixed SD, HD, 4K/UHD, and 8K formats - as well as handle
HDR - for capture, playout, monitoring, news, editing, or MAM. All of the products
displayed at Broadcast India 2019 are available for immediate deployment.
Yellobrik Video and Fiber Solutions
We all know how annoying and frustrating it can be when trying to change a
connection or setting when there is no manual immediately available, so we adopted
a new basic mantra for the development of each new yellobrik device -- “No manual
needed”
We clearly identify all connections and signal flow, and everything you need to know
is printed right on the module. All controls are easily accessible and clearly labelled,
with no need to remove covers, move links, figure out complex dip switch settings or
connecting a PC.
Even though yellobrik’s are low cost utility products, reliability and technical
performance are key to the functionality of these modules. Yellobrik’s are the most
stable and technically proficient bricks available and are backed up with excellent
after sales service and support.
We include all accessories needed; the module, power supply and mounting
brackets are all supplied in a custom plastic transport case -- all included in the price
Some yellobrik’s are field upgradable. If we release a new firmware revision then the
update is always free to download and install. Simply download to your PC, plug in a
USB cable and click.. nothing could be easier
Our innovative 1RU rack mounting chassis lets you move from simple throw down
use into a tidy, organized system installed in a 19” rack frame. Central power and
redundant power protection adds to system flexibility.
Some models form Yellobrik are:-
- P VD 1800,
PEC 1864, OTX 1842, ORX 1802, RFR 1000-1
JK Audio
JK Audio grew quickly from its humble beginnings in a 200 sq foot rented office, to its current 12,000 square foot facility.
The new headquarters were completed in 2006, with plenty of room to expand as needed. All areas of the company are
built for success, from the friendly office and knowledgable support staff, to the experienced production department. JK
Audio products are built at this facility in Sandwich Illinois, a small town just 60 miles West of Chicago. The majority of
components and subassemblies are built in Midwest USA.
The company was founded in 1992 by Joe Klinger, a life long Audio Engineer who found himself caught between telecom
and broadcast industries. His years of experience included both live and studio music production, room and automotive
acoustics, psychoacoustic research, loudspeaker design, and finally as an audio engineer at AT&T Bell Laboratories working
with speech coding experts. While telecom is typically not the career path of an audio engineer, the goal was to bring
telecom up to the quality standards of the rest of the audio community. This position placed an engineer in a Human
Factors department as a technical liaison between psychologists and engineers. This is where you stop thinking like an
engineer, and learn to design from the user’s perspective. His work at Bell Labs received patents in user interface design
and signal processing.

Lynx-GreenMachine
The greenMachine is a new concept of a video and audio processing platform. The processing
hardware is a generic processing unit with a certain set of in and outputs and processing power.
By installing the different APPs the greenMachine units can be turned into a tailored processing
unit to fit exactly your requirements.
The greenMachine can be used as a stand-alone processor or as a system processor that is
controlled and monitored either by the greenGUI software or via a third party master control
software.
The basic greenMachine Callisto includes two internal processing channels, which are
inactive until APPs are installed. An internal crossbar provides access for I/O
connectivity including:
- 2x Electrical SD/HD/3G SDI inputs. Level A and Level B DL
- 2x Electrical SD/HD/3G SDI outputs. Level A and Level B DL
- 1x HDMI input (1.4a)
- 1x HDMI output (1.4a)
- 1x Analog reference input (bi-level or tri-level sync)
- 1x Analog reference (bi-level or tri-level sync) or CVBS composite video output
- 1x Electrical LAN I/O connection
- 4x Balanced Analog Audio or Digital AES Audio inputs
- 4x Balanced Analog Audio or Digital AES Audio outputs
- 2x GPI inputs
- 2x GPI outputs
